Jeremy is a previous Director of hotel businesses including THF Hotels and BAA Hotels and is an experienced Chief Executive of key industry bodies. He has extensive knowledge of how industry associations work.

Key areas of experience encompass general business and hotel management, turning round ailing businesses, project management, building and opening new concepts and operations (Center Parcs, BAA Hotels, and THF Post Houses). Jeremy is very well connected with senior figures across the hotel and wider Hospitality sector through his involvement with the Master Innholders and his previous leadership of The British Hospitality Association and The Institute of Hospitality.

After an early career in luxury hotels, Roddy founded the Berkeley Scott Group Plc. The company grew over a 20 year period to become the market-leading recruitment business for the Hospitality and Leisure sectors in the UK but also had a significant international presence. The company was successfully floated under Roddy’s direction on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2004.

Subsequently, Roddy founded and launched a number of other recruitment companies and today is CEO of The Buell Group, the UK’s largest advisory and service conglomerate for the Hospitality and Leisure sectors. Thus Roddy is steeped in the Hospitality sector and is very well connected at all levels of the industry.

Alan Murray

Peter Lederer CBE

After an early career working for Four Seasons in the UK and Canada, Peter was appointed Managing Director of Gleneagles Hotel and Resort in 1984. He was later appointed as Chairman in 2007 and to the Board of Diageo, the parent company in the same year. Credited with developing Gleneagles as one of the world’s foremost resorts and iconic international brands, Peter has worked in many industry organisations and has an unparalleled understanding of the structure of the hotel industry, particularly in Scotland.

Recently retired from Gleneagles, Peter also holds a range of other very high profile roles in the sector. He was the instigator of the International Leadership School for the hotel sector, and is Non-Executive Chairman and Director of a number of industry-related companies.

Deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of managing and operating hotel businesses, Charles is able to advise owners on the best possible strategy for optimisation of enterprise value and Return on Investment.

Charles has worked both in the UK, Europe and the Far East where he was Chairman of Hilton in Australia and New Zealand. He holds a number of non-executive and asset management roles within privately owned hotel businesses. He has an exceptional network of senior contacts across the sector and retains a very hands-on approach to all aspects of operating hotels.

Jill is extremely practical and hands on and has deep understanding of both on-line and off-line marketing, revenue management and GDS. She in fact founded her own on-line hotels booking business which she sold successfully to lastminute.com.

Jill is particularly well connected in the Scottish Hospitality market and is a committee member of The Hospitality Industry Trust in Scotland.
